Jade Duncan, D.D.S., M.Ed., a native of Trinidad and Tobago, graduated from Howard University, in Washington DC, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. She completed a 2-year General Practice Residency, where she served as Chief Resident at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center. She also holds a Master of Education in Curriculum Development and Instruction, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Cincinnati. Additionally, Dr. Duncan graduated with a certificate in Theology from the E.L.I. Bible Institute and Seminary. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio.
In her previous professional role, she served as the Director of Operating Room services and clinical attending for the Department of General Dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY. She held a faculty appointment at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY and is an Adjunct Clinical Faculty at the University of New England, College of Dental Medicine in their Community Based Education program. She currently practices dentistry at Penobscot Community Health Care, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Bangor, Maine, where she serves as the Director of Dental Residency for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program.
In her personal life, Dr. Duncan is a certified Life Coach and is currently completing her Master Life Coaching certification. She recently published her first book, “Saved, Single, Secure: The Secrets to thriving in your single season” and completed a successful book tour in the Caribbean. She is a professional motivational speaker and has been an invited conference speaker and guest lecturer. She is a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and was inducted into the Alpha Phi Chapter at Howard University in Spring 2006. Dr. Duncan loves fashion and considers herself to be a foodie. Her passions include cooking, mentoring, volunteering at church and spending quality time with family and close friends.
